Terms of Service

Acceptance.

By creating a Strata account, accepting an invite to join a coach, or otherwise using the Strata mobile app or web dashboard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who can use Strata.

Strata is offered to United States residents aged 13 or older. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. The closed beta is invite-only for coaches and is limited to email invites for clients connected to a coach.

Your account.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us at support@stratafit.online if you suspect unauthorized access. Coaches are responsible for the clients they invite and for the programming decisions they assign.

Not medical advice.

Strata is a workout tracking and coaching workflow tool. It is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, changing, or stopping any exercise program, especially if you have any health condition or take any medication. Your coach is responsible for the programming they assign to you; Strata is not a party to the coach-client relationship.

Acceptable use.

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without written permission, including denial-of-service or credential-stuffing attacks.
  • Use the service to provide medical, mental health, or other regulated professional services without holding the appropriate license.
  • Reverse engineer the apps except to the extent allowed by applicable law.
  • Use automated tools to scrape data from the service.

Your content.

You retain ownership of the workouts, programs, logs, voice notes, check-in responses, and other content you create. By using the service, you grant Strata a limited license to store, display, and route that content as needed to operate the coach-client workflow you have set up. We do not use your content to train machine learning models. If a coach uses the optional PDF import feature in the dashboard, the uploaded PDF is sent to OpenAI for structured extraction under a zero-retention agreement and is not used for training.

Beta software.

Strata is in closed beta. The service is provided on an as-is, as-available basis. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Data loss, while we work to prevent it, is a real possibility during beta; do not store anything in Strata that you cannot afford to lose.

Subscription and pricing.

The closed beta is free. Paid plans will be introduced before public launch and require separate acceptance of pricing terms at that time. Any pricing references on the marketing site outside of an active checkout flow are descriptive of future plans, not offers.

Termination and account deletion.

You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. Coaches with active client connections must first disconnect their clients; the app will guide you. Strata may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a risk to other users. On deletion, your data is removed within 14 days, with the exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strata is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strata and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the service. Total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to one hundred United States dollars ($100.00).

Indemnification.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Strata and its operator from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

Governing law and disputes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Apple App Store users.

The standard Apple End User License Agreement applies between you and Apple in addition to these Terms with respect to the mobile app obtained from the App Store. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms only to the extent described in Apple’s developer guidelines.
